Urban Airship

Visual Design, User Experience Design, Front-end Development November 2013–August 2014

Urban Airship offers easy and effective end-to-end management of the push messaging process from customer and location targeting, to automation and delivery, including message composition, rich landing page and Passbook pass creation, as well as analytics to optimize effectiveness.

While at Urban Airship, I was primarily focused on data and report design. I lead hiring and the development of career path options for designers at the company. UA was a formative point in my appreciation and understanding of design process.

Push to Local Time

Urban Airship facilitates the delivery of messages to device local time. Instead of trying to find a time that’s best for everyone, you can distribute the delivery of messages across all major time zones. For example, every user would get a message about pancakes just before breakfast time.

Automation

Urban Airship offers the ability to automate the sending of messages based on a system of simple triggers. In this design, the user can see the total messages sent over time, the various open types, the device distribution for their outgoing messages, and each notification outcome configuration.
